Job Description

Role Overview

The Business Manager will play a key role in supporting the school's operations, ensuring the effective management of resources, and providing administrative support to the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management
    • Develop and manage the school's budget, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare and submit funding applications to support school programs and initiatives.
    • Manage the school's financial systems, including accounts payable and receivable, and ensure timely payment of invoices.
  • Human Resources
    • Provide administrative support for recruitment, induction, and employee relations.
    • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Manage employee records, including personnel files and performance management.
  • General Administration
    • Provide administrative support to the leadership team, including preparing reports, presentations, and other materials.
    • Manage the school's administrative systems, including email, phone, and other communication systems.
    • Coordinate school events, functions, and projects, ensuring effective planning and execution.
  • Resource Management
    • Manage the school's resources, including buildings, equipment, and supplies.
    • Develop and implement strategies to optimize resource utilization and reduce waste.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding resource management.

Requirements

  • Qualifications
    • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, finance, or a related field.
  • Skills and Experience
    • Proven experience in financial management, human resources, and general administration.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, and external stakeholders.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Highly organized and efficient, with a strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
