Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM)

Job Description

The role of the Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) involves providing leadership and support in the haemodialysis unit. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring effective management of human, financial, and physical assets.

You will prepare, monitor, and report on budgets to ensure adherence to resource allocations. You will also support the Nurse Unit Manager in management, clinical, and educational activities.

As ANUM, your duties will include monitoring patient care plans to achieve appropriate outcomes daily. You will provide proficient, person-centered clinical nursing care and individual case management. Additionally, you will act as a resource within the clinical area based on knowledge and experience.

This is an excellent opportunity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. If you are a registered or eligible nurse with experience in leading and directing student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses, we encourage you to apply.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Experience in leading and directing student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses
  • Recent experience in an acute care hospital setting within a haemodialysis unit
  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality, safe care aligned with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
