We are seeking a skilled Oncology Nurse to join our team as the leader of our nursing department.

As an Oncology Nurse, you will be responsible for providing advanced nursing care to patients with cancer, including developing and implementing individualized care plans and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

In this role, you will also be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the nursing staff, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and support to provide high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in oncology nursing, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced nursing care to patients with cancer.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Registration as a Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Clinical experience as a nurse – 5 years nursing with at least 3 years Medical Oncology experience.
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and the ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines and standards.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carers.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to the application of quality improvement and best practice principles, including the NSQHS.
