Lead Veterinary Care Coordinator

This role is critical to driving hospital-wide success and delivering exceptional patient and staff outcomes.

Job Summary:

The Hospital Coordinator will lead the Nursing and Animal Attendant teams, ensuring operational excellence and clinical consistency while fostering a high-performing team culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for predictable, repeatable care
  • Collaborate with senior nursing leaders and department heads to promote a Sydney-wide approach to care methodologies across ARH sites
  • Recruit, induct, develop, and retain nursing talent through structured career planning
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and manage referral coordination directly or through delegation
Requirements:
  • Veterinary nursing qualifications or veterinary degree
  • Experience in hospital coordination or team leadership in a Specialist Hospital essential
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
