Job Description

This role is focused on leading complex business capability growth and enhancement projects. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of strategic objectives within the Nuclear and Capability Business Unit.

You will lead project teams, develop project schedules and budgets, establish project management governance frameworks, identify and mitigate project risks, and drive project execution across a diverse portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in managing complex projects, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in project environments. They will also possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to set up project teams, manage project managers and coordinators, and develop talent.

Additional responsibilities include developing and maintaining project management tools, ensuring compliance with defence and safety standards, reporting on project progress to senior leadership, and driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in complex project environments.
  • Proven leadership in setting up project teams, managing project managers and coordinators, as well as developing talent.
  • Strong governance and process development capabilities.
  • Understanding and experience working in centralised services business models.
  • Skilled in managing diverse projects, including supply chain, workforce, technology, and infrastructure.
  • Proficient in project management tools, such as Primavera P6, Jira, and Cobra.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Autonomous, goal-directed, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a technical or project management discipline.
