About Project Management Roles

A leading player in the submarine industry is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their Nuclear and Capability Business Unit as they grow capabilities to support both Collins Class and Nuclear-Powered Submarine Programs.

This role involves leading complex business capability growth & enhancement projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery of strategic objectives within the N&C Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish, lead, and manage project teams to deliver strategic objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
  • Establish project management governance frameworks.
  • Schedule risk assessments and identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Support and develop project management talent.
  • Coordinate with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with defence and safety standards.
  • Report on project progress to senior leadership.
About You
  • 10 years of experience in complex project environments.
  • Proven leadership in setting up project teams, managing project managers, and developing talent.
  • Strong governance and process development capabilities.
  • Understanding of centralised services business models.
  • Skilled in managing diverse projects.
  • Proficient in project management tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Autonomous, goal-directed, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Tertiary qualifications in technical or project management disciplines.
Requirements

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level.
