This leadership position manages a team of safety professionals and supports the delivery of key safety initiatives across business operations.
You'll work closely with operations and functional teams to support positive health & safety cultural and business transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with operations to deliver health and safety services and achieve WHS goals
- Lead critical risk verification audits and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Develop and monitor WHS management plans; provide training and support
- Promote a strong safety culture through the 'Work Safe, Home Safe' approach
- Provide safety leadership and coach teams on incident management and response
- Lead investigations and report incidents, ensuring proper documentation
- Conduct internal safety audits and support external audit participation
- Oversee WHS training programs and review their effectiveness
- Translate field-level insights into practical health & safety risk improvements
- Couch and develop health & safety professionals
Requirements:
- A recognised occupational health and safety degree or course
- Health and Safety Auditor training course
- Qualifications in incident investigation (e.g. ICAM)
- 5 years of experience in a similar industry of H&S
- 5 years of managing a team
