Job Title

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced midwife to join our team as an Enhanced Perinatal Navigator.

This role is focused on providing emotional support, guidance, and practical assistance to families experiencing perinatal loss and socially complex care needs during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.

The successful candidate will have excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in establishing a new service to provide compassionate support and practical assistance to families experiencing perinatal loss and socially complex care needs.
  • Strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Collaborate in policy and guideline development to ensure evidence-based practice.
  • Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary team meetings to facilitate effective communication and decision-making.
  • Work in partnership with the education team to create and build resources for families.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Nursing and Midwifery or Bachelor of Midwifery.
  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
