Software Engineering Manager

Kaluza is a company that aims to accelerate the transition to a sustainable, affordable and resilient energy system.

We are in an exciting growth phase, expanding our operations internationally. Our goal is to build a self-sufficient and empowered team here on the ground in Australia.

You will lead our regional Client Engineering team to develop region- and client-specific solutions on the Kaluza platform. You will become an expert on the Kaluza software-as-a-service products and provide technical guidance to your team.

You will work closely with our clients to establish strong working relationships and promote engineering and delivery best practices within the team.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Developing relationships with client stakeholders and advising them on technical aspects of their Kaluza projects.
  • Becoming an expert on the Kaluza software-as-a-service products and providing technical guidance to your team.
  • Providing solution expertise to guide development activities performed by our client, third-party partners, and other Kaluza teams.
  • Highlighting client-requested features and emerging trends to other product / engineering teams to help shape the global platform.

Ideal candidates will have/be:

  • Experience in software engineering leadership and client service in an agile environment.
  • A bias to action and a proactive approach to problem-solving in the face of uncertainty.
  • Experience of building, managing and leading multiple engineering teams.
  • Experience of mentoring, training and developing other engineers.
