Role Overview

Aveo is a leading provider of retirement living services, with 30 years of experience. As a Financial Accountant - Retirement Village Support, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial stability and success of our retirement villages.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Financial Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our retirement village operations, including preparing accounts, reconciliations, and other financial reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review general ledger accounts, including journals, ledgers, and financial statements;
  • Reconcile bank statements and other external records to ensure accuracy and completeness;
  • Perform accounting tasks, such as coding, posting, and recording transactions;
  • Contribute to the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and other financial plans;
  • Liaise with management, colleagues, and external parties to provide financial information and advice;
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements;

What You'll Need
  • 2+ years of experience in finance and accounting;
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in accounting software and systems;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Property Management and Body Corporate Management experience (desirable);
  • Retirement industry experience (desirable);
Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum
