Role Overview:

The Account Director, Member Relations drives member performance and engagement through strategic planning, leadership, and execution.

This position requires strong industry experience, understanding of the market, and the ability to contribute at a senior level to team performance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to regional business strategy and budget development.
  • Deliver and execute business plans and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Provide key performance metrics as outlined in the business plan.
  • Oversee national account management and member plans.
  • Maintain and execute the company's CRM platform.
  • Lead professional development programs for Virtuoso Owner/Managers.
  • Promote proactive interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Engage in market events and global conferences.
  • Identify new business opportunities and monitor competitive context.
  • Athlete high-profile attendance at member conferences, meetings, and education programs.
  • Analyze competitors and report on findings.
  • Manage critical member matters.
  • Oversight of production reporting.
  • Supervise Account Manager, Member Relations and applicable Account Administrator.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Travel & Tourism, or Marketing.
  • 5-10 years related work experience, including industry expertise and senior-level contribution to team performance.
  • Prior strategic account management experience and demonstrated success.
  • Innovation - forward thinking, curious, and creative.
  • Leadership - ability to lead people or projects.
  • Marketplace awareness - current business trend knowledge.
  • Analytical skills (intermediate) - ability to collect and analyze information, problem solve, and make decisions.

Travel Requirements:

35%+ travel time spent visiting members, attending events, conferences, and team meetings.

Type/Nature of Contacts:

Internal: Supervises and supports Account Managers and Account Administrators. Key job contacts are primarily with other Account Directors, the Marketing Manager, The Account Director Partner Relations, and Market General Manager.

External: Majority of time spent in market with National Account management contacts and Owners & Managers.
