headspace supports young people aged 12-25 experiencing mild to moderate or emerging mental health issues.
A multidisciplinary team at headspace Shellharbour works to improve health, social, vocational and educational outcomes for young people.
Locally-tailored, high quality physical and mental health services are provided across NSW and the ACT.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with young people and their family to identify support needs, goals and develop collaborative care plans.
- Provide high quality assessments and evidence-based interventions to young people referred to headspace Shellharbour, within guidelines of Medicare initiatives.
- Current registration as a psychologist, working towards clinical endorsement as a registrar.
- Eligibility for a registered psychologist Medicare rebate.
- Experience in assessment and diagnosis of mental health disorders, and provision of focused psychological strategies.
- Understanding of key issues related to health and wellbeing needs of young people with mental health problems.
