Senior Mental Health Clinician, Youth Brief Intervention Service (yBIS) - Eastern Suburbs Mental Health Service

Employment Type: Temporary Part Time until June 2026

Position Classification: Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2, Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist Level 4, Social Worker Level 4

Remuneration: $55.10 - $67.83 per hour, plus superannuation

Are you a senior mental health clinician experienced in working with youth who loves working with a multidisciplinary team helping young consumers on their mental health journey to recovery? We welcome your application to join our Youth Brief Intervention Service (yBIS) team helping the young and vulnerable.

If you are an overseas qualified Social Worker, you are required to have your qualifications assessed by the AASW to meet the position criteria.

Selection Criteria

  • Current registration as a health professional (e.g., Registered Nurse with AHPRA, or eligible for membership of a professional body for Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychologist). Relevant post-registration qualifications and experience in Mental Health
  • Demonstrated experience in assessment, care planning, staff management and coordination within mental health, with youth or related community experience
  • Clinical leadership skills with client-centred approach and ability to work within a multidisciplinary framework
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and knowledge of practice development frameworks
  • Ability to implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice using evidence-based research
  • Skills in strategic and clinical service planning, including change management and cultural change
  • Experience in clinical teaching, use of contemporary information systems, and development of specialty education programs
  • A current NSW Driver's Licence
