Role Overview

The Senior Practitioner will play a pivotal role in delivering evidence-based interventions and youth-friendly models that foster early help-seeking behavior and seamless access to early intervention health and well-being services.

This position is split between two hubs, with two days per week at each location, providing opportunities for diverse experiences and skill development.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Minimum two years post-graduate experience in mental health service delivery;
  • Clinical Psychologist or Registered Psychologist with current full registration, or;
  • Occupational therapists with current full registration, and who have completed additional mental health specific training and are eligible for mental health accreditation, or;
  • Social Workers holding an approved Social Work Qualification and who have completed additional mental health specific training, and are eligible for mental health endorsement;
  • Counsellors with current clinical registration as a Mental Health Practitioner or current Level 3 or 4 membership;
  • Division 1 Mental Health Nurses who have completed additional training or relevant experience within mental health;
  • Experience in assessment of mental health disorders, and provision of Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy and other focused psychological strategies;
  • Experience working with young people and their families or carers in a family inclusive practice model;
  • Demonstrated understanding of key issues in relation to the health and wellbeing needs of young people with mental health problems.
