Job Opportunity

A leading shipbuilding company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Scheduler to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for project schedule construction and baselining, resource profiling, and performance measurement.


About The Role

The Senior Scheduler will be accountable for building, maintaining, and developing coherent master schedules in line with Good Scheduling Practices Guide. This will involve coaching and providing hands-on support to project schedulers, as well as acting as an expert advisor to project teams.


Key Responsibilities
  • Build, maintain, and develop accurate master schedules in line with the Good Scheduling Practices Guide
  • Provide coaching and hands-on support to project schedulers
  • Act as an expert advisor to project teams by assessing the impact of proposed or actual changes on project schedules
  • Conduct proactive reviews of schedules to validate accuracy, identify risks, and recommend improvements in line with scheduling best practice
  • Work closely with project stakeholders, engaging in meetings and workshops to ensure alignment of scheduling activities
  • Establish and execute robust monitoring, forecasting, and reporting processes
  • Analyse the short- and long-term impacts of project changes on resource requirements

Requirements
  • Ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance
  • 3-5+ years' experience in scheduling role in Shipbuilding, construction or Defence
  • Primavera P6 literate with a minimum of 2 years' experience
  • Knowledge of EVM and related disciplines to enable cost and schedule variance tracking and reporting of performance indicators
  • Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
