About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Advisor to join our team at Suncorp Group. As a Claims Advisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while driving commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of claims and proactively work to resolve claims within the earliest possible timeframes while achieving an optimal outcome.
  • Manage and negotiate pre-proceedings and litigated claims, including communication with claimants and solicitors.
  • Continually assess the Quantum and Estimate of claims utilizing the evidence available and in accordance with procedural requirements.
  • Work within the designated Delegation of Authority.
  • Utilize and collaborate with Injury Management Advisor and Technical Advisor.
  • Utilize and collaborate with relevant internal business areas to discuss and action plan file direction.
Requirements
  • Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy for the customer.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills – listen, build rapport, communicate complex information, and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong administrative and written skills and the ability to effectively manage all aspects of each claim within the restraints of the SA State legislation.
  • Strong commitment and a high degree of integrity to help meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Claims management experience would be highly regarded, as would Allied Health and/or legal experience.
