Excavator Operator Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced excavator operator to join our team on a large-scale excavation project in Sydney.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy plant and equipment to achieve project milestones.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate excavators and other plant equipment to complete bulk earthworks, detailed excavation, and trenching works.
  • Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety standards, site safety procedures, and environmental controls.
  • Perform excavation works in proximity to live services with precision and care.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, surveyors, and fellow operators to ensure effective teamwork.
  • Optimize machine use to meet program and productivity targets while minimizing rework.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience operating an excavator.
  • Holding a Construction Safety Induction (White) card.
  • Ideal experience working on large sites with multiple excavators.
  • Strong financial analysis and administrative skills.
