We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Personal Injury Paralegal/Assistant to join our team at AFL Recruitment. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a top-notch specialist personal injury lawyers in the winning historical abuse team.

About the Role

As a Personal Injury Paralegal/Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting our lawyers in obtaining full justice for plaintiff clients for historical child sex abuse and other institutional abuse claims. Your duties will include interacting with clients, solicitors, barristers, doctors, and insurers, as well as dictaphone typing letters and court documents, preparing briefs to barristers, and diary management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 months of experience in personal injury law (any area)
  • Some experience in abuse law (preferable but not essential) and a keen serious interest in advancing your career in this abuse law niche
  • Strong Microsoft Word skills (including typing)
  • Client-service oriented and highly organized with a deadline-driven approach
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • A high level of maturity, empathy, and emotional intelligence/fortitude
