Case Worker Position

The Case Manager is responsible for providing high-quality services for young people in residential care. They will work with children, their families, and caregivers to achieve permanency and case plan outcomes. This involves an interactive and dynamic approach, focusing on ongoing analysis, decision-making, and record-keeping to ensure the child's needs are met.

This position requires a collaborative approach, working closely with therapists, supervisors, and other employees to provide therapeutic care and support for young people. The Case Manager must be able to assess, plan, implement, monitor, and review case plans to achieve desired outcomes.

A key aspect of this role is establishing relationships with various specialists and mainstream services to improve outcomes for young people and their families. Strong partnerships with Aboriginal and culturally diverse agencies are essential.

  • A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, as well as awareness of current issues affecting Aboriginal children and families.">
  • A tertiary qualification in social work, community services, or a relevant field.">
  • Demonstrated experience in casework practice, preferably in Out-of-Home-Care.">
  • Demonstrated experience working with young people who have complex care needs.">
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop collaborative relationships across professional and organisational boundaries.">
  • Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise work effectively.">
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.">
  • Experience using Microsoft Office.">
  • Current First Aid Certificate.">
