About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to vulnerable young people in a therapeutic residential setting. This role requires strong leadership and supervision skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the residential home, ensuring the needs of young people are met and the roster is managed effectively.
  2. Work closely with the team to develop strategies and plans for individual young people, addressing presenting issues and promoting positive outcomes.
  3. Create a nurturing and therapeutic environment that supports the physical and emotional safety of each young person.
  4. Support young people to maintain connections with family and significant others, facilitating family time and community activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in youth work, social work, or a related field.
  • Experience working with young people with complex trauma and an understanding of adolescent development and trauma theory.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in therapeutic residential care, OOHC, or child protection.
  • Able to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
