We are currently seeking a Principal Structural Designer to join our Engineering team in Perth, Western Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and managing structural projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and leading the work of less experienced members.

About the Role

As a Principal Structural Designer, you will have the opportunity to work on high-profile onshore and offshore projects, designing various structures and managing the workload distribution, training, and troubleshooting of the design team. You will also be responsible for preparing engineering drawings, collaborating with teams, and utilizing advanced engineering software and methodologies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Structural modeling, drafting, and preparing engineering drawings for high-profile projects.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions that meet project objectives.
  • Utilizing advanced engineering software and methodologies for structural designs.
  • Leading, supporting, and supervising the work of less experienced members.
  • Managing communication with stakeholders and escalating potential bottlenecks.
About You

We are looking for an experienced structural designer with a strong background in the Oil & Gas industry. You should have a high level of interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and proficiency in software such as AVEVA PDMS and E3D, Navisworks, and AutoCAD. Preferred software experience includes Tekla, S3D, and MicroStation.
