Principal Structural Engineer Opportunity

Wood Plc is seeking a highly experienced Principal Structural Engineer to join our Operations business in Perth. This permanent role will support deliverables for a significant brownfields engineering opportunity in the LNG industry.

About the Role:

  • Reporting to the Lead Structural Engineer, you will work across FEED / Execution to EPCM delivery, with a focus on design.
  • You will have prior Principal/Lead engineer level working experience in the Onshore LNG, Oil & Gas sectors within an EPCM engineering and maintenance project environment with onshore scope of work.
  • Australian citizenship or Permanent Residency (PR) is required, with the ability to work lawfully in Australia.
  • A suitably qualified engineer with a civil / structural degree and/or post-graduate degree from a recognized institution is ideal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 12+ years relevant experience as a Structural Engineer in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Experience in Onshore processing facilities and site surveying / scoping.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with the client.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Experience in the use of relevant software packages (e.g. SACS, Staad Pro).
  • Experience in the use of API, AISC and ISO design codes.
