We are a leading engineering and technology company with a strong presence in the global market. Our team is passionate about driving the transition to a low-carbon future, and we are seeking a skilled Principal Structural Designer to join our Engineering team in Perth, Western Australia.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on various high-profile onshore/offshore projects, designing structures and managing the workload distribution, training, and troubleshooting of the design team. The projects will range from new developments to modifications of existing live assets, including design for new hydrogen developments and Prelude FLNG.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Structural modeling, drafting of mainly steel structures, and preparing engineering drawings for high-profile projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions that meet project objectives.
  • Utilise advanced engineering software and methodologies for our structural designs.
  • Lead, support, and supervise the work of less experienced members.
  • Manage communication towards different stakeholders and escalate any potential bottlenecks.
  • Other responsibilities as required by project and management.

About You:

  • You understand the type of work we do and are interested in a permanent role.
  • You have extensive experience in structural design, ideally from the Oil & Gas industry.
  • You possess high-level interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbally.
  • You are proficient in AVEVA PDMS and E3D, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
  • Preferred software experience: Tekla, S3D, MicroStation.
