Job Title: Disability Support Worker
About this role:
We are seeking an experienced support worker to join our team.
As a disability support worker, you will provide person-centred support to clients who require clear boundaries, structured routines and clear communication. You must be assertive and calm under pressure while also being encouraging and understanding.
This role requires someone with a compassionate yet firm approach to support, a proactive mindset and the ability to motivate and prompt activity.
Responsibilities include getting out into the community to do things clients enjoy such as hiking or shopping, supporting with personal care tasks like showering and dressing, helping prepare simple nutritious meals, providing transport and mobility assistance and helping out with light cleaning jobs around the home when needed.
Requirements:
- Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support (Disability or Aged Care)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and WWCC
- First Aid and CPR
- Valid drivers license and your own reliable insured car
- Willingness to complete all client-specific training before starting
