Sustainability Relations Manager

About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Relations Manager to join our Group Sustainability team at Coles. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in driving positive change and supporting a more sustainable future for our communities, shareholders, and teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation and coordination of our supplier engagement program, ensuring alignment with Coles' environmental objectives.
- Mentor and lead a newly created team to drive sustainability performance across our suppliers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal contract owners, suppliers, and industry bodies to drive communication and collaboration.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities for Coles suppliers to support the company's sustainability objectives.
- Oversee the delivery of supplier engagement communication and event activities, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Coles' supplier-related environmental targets, providing guidance and support to the team.
- Manage project reporting and budgets, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results.
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Minimum 8 years' experience working with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and consultants in a corporate environment.
- Proven project management experience of complex programs of work.
- Previous experience managing direct reports and leading high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Some understanding of climate change, emissions reductions, and related sustainability impacts is preferred but not essential.
