Job Summary

The Policy and Project Officer role is a key position within the organisation that involves providing policy and project management support across various projects.

This role reports into the Senior Policy and Project Officer and contributes to the implementation of various initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders and meeting project objectives.

Main Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Develop and maintain project documentation such as Project Management Plans, status reports, and high-quality briefings, reports and submissions for diverse audiences.
  • Policy Analysis: Review, analyse and interpret recommendations from inquiries and legal policies to provide accurate and strategic policy advice to stakeholders.
  • Meetings and Workshops: Organise project-related meetings and workshops, and develop and maintain lessons management tools, processes and data.
  • Process Improvement: Support the organisation's continuous improvement approach through the development and implementation of policy projects.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on new, emerging and current strategic issues and opportunities relating to policy reform and the broader emergency management reform environment.
What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will require excellent project coordination skills, strong analytical abilities, and effective communication skills. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration or public policy, is preferred. Additionally, you should have experience working in a similar role and possess strong knowledge of policy reform and emergency management.
