Job Description

We are seeking a Strategic Policy Expert to join our team. As a key member of our policy unit, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing policies that drive sustainable economic development and employment growth for Victoria.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in policy design and development, with a strong understanding of government structures, processes, and culture. You will be responsible for:

  • Developing policy frameworks within area of expertise or responsibility based on defined organisational priorities
  • Routinely advising senior stakeholders on policy issues and solutions within a functional area

You will work closely with senior leaders across the organisation to engender support for proposals and build trusting relationships.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Policymaking experience and skills in building partnerships and collaborations
  • Ability to guide others through the strategic planning process
