About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Coordinator to join our team at Service Stream. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely receipt of payment for our services and compliance with contract and financial reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Submitting payment claims to TfV for completed works and invoicing when claim is approved
  • Monitoring outstanding invoices, liaising with TfV representatives to ensure payment is received in line with Contract terms
  • Reviewing payment claims submitted by delivery partners (subcontractors) and processing for payment in line with agreed payment terms
  • Raising purchase orders for goods and services
  • Liaising with TfV and delivery partner representatives to resolve AP / AR issues
  • Maintaining finance systems, procedures and processes and supporting the Business & Performance Manager with financial analysis and reporting

This role can be based in either our Network Intelligence & Operations Centre (NIOC) in Melbourne CBD or in our VRMC Depot in Clayton. Full-time, part-time and flexible working options will be considered for this role.

About You

You will have at least three years' experience in a comparable role, ideally in directly relevant industries such as civil engineering, road construction / maintenance, resources or heavy manufacturing. A committed team player who drives for service excellence and continuous improvement, you will demonstrate:

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with enterprise-grade financial management systems (familiarity with JobPac highly regarded)
  • Sound knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting processes underpinned by an analytical mindset
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, with a track record of working collaboratively with customers and delivery partners to resolve issues
  • Strong time management skills and an exceptional eye for detail when processing high volumes of data

Formal qualifications (Cert IV or higher) in accounting/book-keeping or a commercial discipline are a bonus, but not essential if you can demonstrate equivalent knowledge and capability.
