Monash University's School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Academic Lecturer to join their team.

About the Role

This is a casual opportunity to teach in a variety of settings and gain valuable experience. Great rates of pay are offered for both graduate and experienced teachers, creating a supportive team environment.

The role involves working with the Unit Coordinator to deliver lectures, tutorials, and marking in the unit Healthcare and Financial Management, which runs for 6 weeks in late 2024 and is a full semester course in semester 1 of 2025.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences in healthcare accounting and financial management.
  • Work collaboratively with the Unit Coordinator to develop and implement teaching materials and assessments.
  • Moderate and mark assignments and exams to ensure academic integrity.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) or equivalent qualification.
  • Professional practice experience in a healthcare accounting setting, with a minimum of two years since CPA graduation.
  • Prior experience of providing accounting and financial management education is desirable.
