Job Overview

The Learning Support Officer is a vital role in supporting students with additional needs or identified learning difficulties.

Main Responsibilities:

  • 1. Instructional Leadership - Lead small group instruction and adapt lessons under teacher guidance.
  • 2. Data Analysis - Collect formal and anecdotal evidence on student performance.
  • 3. Communication Strategies - Provide feedback to teachers and students.
  • 4. Intervention Implementation - Implement evidence-based learning intervention and provide support for students.

Requirements:

  • Certificate 3 in Education Support/Integration Aide (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated understanding of pastoral care needs of boys in a Catholic secondary school environment
  • Experience within a Catholic educational environment
  • Demonstrated administrative and organisational skills
