A large infrastructure project in Southeast Queensland, set to experience sustained growth leading up to the Olympics, requires a highly skilled Manager of Commercial Operations.

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced and accomplished commercial professional to lead our operations in managing commercial frameworks, processes, and contracts. This role involves providing strategic leadership in head contract administration, risk analysis, reporting, and negotiation with subcontractors and suppliers.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead commercial framework and process development, including head contract and subcontract administration, risk management, and compliance.
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety and health framework and policies.
  • Oversee monthly client payment claims compilation and finalization in consultation with finance and admin teams.
  • Administer change notice procedures under the head contract to protect entitlements.
  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, and manage significant claims and conflict resolution.
  • Evaluate and implement effective commercial and financial risk management procedures.
  • Review subcontract tender documentation as required.

**Requirements:

  • BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying or similar approved degree qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Commercial Manager on a major project in a client-facing role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced understanding of construction contracts.
