We do this by providing Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Positive Behaviour Supports, Early Childhood Supports and Habit Coaches across 40 hubs in Australia.



About The Role



You will work as a Disability Support Specialist - Allied Health Assistant, supporting NDIS participants in Northern Brisbane and surrounding areas. Your role will involve working at participants' homes or community locations, driving to sessions and supporting participants of all ages and stages of life under the guidance of primary therapists.



Responsibilities




  • Implement therapy plans provided by primary therapists.
  • Varying session types depending on participant goals and needs.
  • Supporting independence, promoting healthy habits and encouraging social engagement.


Requirements



To succeed in this role, you'll need:




  • Either be studying a university degree in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology or Physiotherapy (minimum 2nd year) or have completed a Certificate 3 or 4 in Allied Health Assistance or an equivalent qualification with relevant experience.
  • A valid Australian drivers license and access to your own vehicle.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Childrens Check.
  • Demonstrated passion for working within the disability sector and making a difference in people's lives.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to follow instructions and maintain focus on participant goals.
  • Self-motivated, reliable and able to work autonomously.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 7am - 7pm, including minimum two days per week for afternoon routines (3:30pm - 6:30pm).
  • Open to travel to regional/surrounding areas.

Salary Estimate



$65,000 - $75,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
