Key Responsibilities
  • We are seeking an enthusiastic Disability Support Specialist to join our team As a key member, you will assist clients with daily tasks, promoting independence in their homes and forming meaningful connections. Our flexible scheduling accommodates your needs, offering a range of shifts, including early mornings and evenings.
  • You will provide vital support with transfers using hoists when necessary, grooming, bathing, dressing, dental hygiene assistance, personal care needs, basic wound care, self-medication support, meal preparation, light household duties, laundry, and facilitating community access by driving clients to appointments and social activities.
About You
  • A positive and empathetic attitude is essential for this role. Excellent listening and authentic communication skills will enable you to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
  • You will work independently, adapting to diverse client needs and environments while maintaining a respectful, non-judgmental, and dignified demeanor.
  • No prior experience is required; we offer comprehensive industry training provided by Registered Nurses and Key Support Workers.
  • You must be physically capable of frequent lifting, bending, and carrying.
Requirements
  • No mandatory experience; extensive training provided by Registered Nurses and Key Support Workers.
  • Current driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Smartphone device.
  • Current NDIS Workers Screening Card and Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.
  • Completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module.
  • Flexibility to work varying shift times within a fixed fortnightly schedule.
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum
