The Role
We are seeking an experienced Leisure and Lifestyle Team Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging activity programs that cater to the diverse needs of our residents. This role requires a strong understanding of person-centered care and the ability to adapt to individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement activity programs that promote social inclusion and enjoyment among residents
- Supervise and mentor a team of staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality services
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the ongoing safety and well-being of residents
- Plan and implement engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs of residents, including those with dementia and challenging behaviors
- Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and stakeholders to ensure the delivery of person-centered care
Requirements
- Previous experience working in Leisure and Lifestyle is essential
- Cert III Individual Support / Cert IV in Leisure & Lifestyle
- Proven skills and ability to adapt to individual needs to communicate effectively
- Good understanding of WHS principles to ensure the ongoing safety of residents
- Strong people management skills and experience leading a team
- Proven experience planning and implementing engaging activity programs
- Excellent computer skills
- Unrestricted drivers license
- Bus license or willingness to obtain
