Senior Desktop Fleet Officer

The role is responsible for delivering end-user hardware to the University through efficient ordering, receiving goods from suppliers and facilitating their supply to customers in accordance with University policies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the secure disposal and return of end-user devices in accordance with University policies
  • Advise customers and other staff on relevant processes (e.g. asset management and disposal procedures, tracking and record-keeping)
  • Establish and contribute to the development of knowledge and instructions enabling consistent and optimal delivery of services
  • Assist in the delivery of other Fleet team activities as needed, to assist the broader team in delivering its services
  • Protect University data and systems through adherence to published policy, standard, and process documents; immediately reporting any suspected breaches, vulnerabilities, or other security issues to the Information Security Team

Requirements:

  • Industry experience in inventory management, key aspects of technology device lifecycle management, and IT customer service roles
  • Knowledge of end-user computer hardware and Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS)
  • Well-developed customer service skills in achieving quality outcomes for all parties
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Formal technical education and qualifications would be highly regarded
