Job Title

Shop Operations Manager

This is a dynamic role that involves overseeing sales, driving waste diversion efforts, managing a team, and delivering excellent customer service.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily shop operations, including sales, stock management, and team supervision.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue, improve efficiency, and enhance the shopping experience.
  • Mentor and support team members to ensure effective personnel management and deliver operational works.
  • Plan and coordinate work activities, including plant, materials, and contractors.
  • Operate internal reporting systems and generate reports to management on request.
  • Ensure onsite compliance against reporting requirements and key performance indicators are achieved.
  • Effectively manage the collection, presentation, and sale of re-saleable materials to ensure maximum recyclable diversion.
  • Promote and plan opportunities to increase diversion and sales revenue.
  • Communicate with other team members to maximise diversion and sales.
  • Develop a yearly communications plan to support shop operations.
  • Maintain the shop to a high level of housekeeping and establish a pricing mechanism that encourages uptake of goods.
  • Utilise and maintain all items of plant, equipment, tools, and PPE to standards.
  • Develop procedures relevant to the role to provide guidance around the management of the shop facility.
  • Complete documentation relevant to the role, including standard forms, payroll, cash, and EFTPOS reconciliations, banking processes, site safety documentation including incident reports.
  • Perform fire and emergency operations; and site safety and security.
  • Undertake administrative duties, including purchasing requisitions, preparation of reports, timesheet authorisation, etc.
