Job Overview

A Senior Electrical Design Engineer is required to spearhead the design of substations up to 500kV. The successful candidate will possess expertise in outdoor and indoor substations, preferably at 330kV or higher, and knowledge of local standards & IEC/IEEE/ANSI standards.

  • Develop substation primary engineering designs for substations up to 500kV, ensuring compliance with standards and customer requirements.
  • Optimize designs considering constraints, perform detailed substation calculations, and ensure clash-free layouts through coordination.
  • Define design subsystems for accurate costing, specify high-voltage equipment, and interface with multiple disciplines while reviewing technical documents and system studies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team in designing substation primary engineering for substations up to 500kV.
  • Ensure adherence to standards and customer requirements.
  • Optimize designs considering constraints, perform detailed substation calculations, and ensure clash-free layouts through coordination.
  • Define design subsystems for accurate costing, specify high-voltage equipment, and interface with multiple disciplines while reviewing technical documents and system studies.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in outdoor and indoor substations, preferably 330kV or higher. Proficiency in relevant software tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, and Primavera is also required.
