Estimator Role Overview:

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of a well-regarded civil construction and asset maintenance business. The company has earned a strong reputation for consistently delivering high-quality projects across multiple sectors.

An experienced Estimator is required to join the Head Office team in Greenacre, NSW. The successful candidate will have a background in the concrete remediation industry, including FRP concrete, small-scale civil works, or remedial projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets in collaboration with project teams.
  • Tendering & Procurement: Manage tendering and procurement processes, including preparing documentation and evaluating bids.
  • Contract Management: Administer and negotiate contracts, ensuring variations and claims are managed effectively.
  • Budget Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor project budgets, track costs, and provide clear financial reporting.
  • Value Engineering: Identify and implement value engineering opportunities to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Risk & Compliance: Conduct cost risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a high level of numerical accuracy, analytical ability, and attention to detail.

Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as an Estimator in civil construction and remediation projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of remediation practices, public infrastructure works, and local authority project requirements.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and relevant Australian standards.
