About the Role

Join Metric Engineering as a Remedial Civil/Structural Engineer and play a key role in delivering high-quality, compliant, and innovative solutions across remediation projects. Based in Bankstown, NSW, you will provide expert technical advice and engineering solutions to support the remediation, repair, and ongoing management of civil and structural assets.

As part of our experienced team, you will lead inspections, reporting for DBPA compliance, and oversee and project manage remedial works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Conduct detailed inspections and assessments of civil and structural assets to identify defects and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Prepare DBPA compliance reports, detailed engineering reports, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Design and oversee the implementation of remedial solutions, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Project manage and supervise remedial works onsite, coordinating contractors and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Provide expert technical advice to clients and multidisciplinary teams throughout all project phases.
  • Stay current with industry standards, codes, and regulations to ensure best-practice solutions.
What We're Looking For
  • Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Chartered or near-Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng).
  • Proven track record in inspection, assessment, remediation, and compliance reporting.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience overseeing remedial or construction works.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to build trust with clients and contractors.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and delivering robust engineering outcomes.
