About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Disability Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will provide quality care and support to individuals in their day-to-day living.
This role involves working in supported independent living accommodation settings, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for our customers.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, providing domestic and personal care assistance, as well as supporting our customers to access and engage with their community.
Broad availability to work shift work, including regular sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to individuals in their day-to-day living
- Work in supported independent living accommodation settings
- Support individuals to access and engage with their community
- Provide domestic and personal care assistance
- Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights, weekends and public/school holidays with significant availability
- Resilience, confidence and the ability to work independently and as a team
- Strong communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships
- Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement
- Ability to use computers and learn a variety of software/programs
- Smart Phone
- Current Driver's Licence
