Behavioural Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Behavioural Support Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families.

Your role will be to provide evidence-based support plans, develop meaningful goals and strategies, and build the knowledge and capacity of those who support participants in their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and identify participant needs through person-centred planning
  • Evaluate and develop support plans within complex support spaces
  • Develop practical strategies utilising a positive behaviour support framework
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure individual plans reflect participant goals and strengths
  • Mentor less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners

Requirements:

  • Current suitability as a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Core or Proficient level
  • Report writing experience
  • Experience in mentoring and supervising other Behaviour Support Practitioners
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Proactive attitude and genuine passion for working in the disability sector
