Lead Anaesthesiology Specialist - Clinical Governance

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Anaesthesiology Specialist to join our team and take on the responsibility of overseeing clinical governance within our department. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring effective and efficient clinical services through leadership and management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Governance: Oversee clinical governance, contributing to teaching, accreditation readiness, incident management and driving continuous improvement in patient care and service delivery.
  • Leadership and Management: Ensure effective and efficient clinical services through leadership and management, coordinating medical staff for safe and effective service delivery.
Requirements:
  • Possess specialist registration (Anaesthesia) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Possess Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate sound clinical knowledge in Anaesthesiology, demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position.
  • Demonstrate high-level interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate commitment to teaching and junior medical staff supervision consistent with contemporary best practice supervision standards.
