Senior Anaesthesia Leadership Role

This leadership position in the Department of Anaesthesia involves ensuring effective clinical services through strategic leadership and management.

The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating medical staff for safe and efficient service delivery, overseeing departmental clinical governance, and contributing to teaching and accreditation readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing strategies for improving patient care and service delivery.
  • Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Providing guidance and support to junior medical staff and promoting a culture of excellence in anaesthetic practice.

Requirements:

  • Possess or be eligible for specialist registration (Anaesthesia) with AHPRA.
  • Hold Fellowship of ANZCA or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate ongoing Continuing Medical Education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements.
  • Exhibit sound clinical knowledge in Anaesthesiology through successful clinical practice in an appropriate environment.
  • Display exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate commitment to teaching and junior medical staff supervision consistent with best practice standards.
