Job Title:

Anesthesiology Team Leader

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled medical practitioner to lead our anesthesiology team and drive excellence in clinical services.

The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care, coordinating medical staff, and ensuring effective departmental governance.

This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, sound clinical knowledge, and a commitment to innovation and team building.

The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in anesthesia, possess a proven ability to motivate teams, and have a track record of driving continuous improvement in patient care and service delivery.

Appointees may be eligible for credentialing and privileging across other facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the anesthesiology team and ensure effective and efficient clinical services.
  • Coordinate medical staff for safe and effective service delivery.
  • Oversee departmental clinical governance.
Requirements:
  • Possess or be eligible for specialist registration (Anesthesia) with AHPRA.
  • Possess Fellowship of ANZCA or equivalent.
  • Evidence of Continuing Medical Education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements.
  • Demonstrate sound clinical knowledge in Anaesthesiology through successful clinical practice.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching and junior medical staff supervision.
  • Familiarity with research concepts and commitment to support basic, applied or clinical research as required within the Department.
