This is a leadership role that requires sound clinical knowledge in anaesthetics and the ability to manage a department effectively.
About the Role:- Lead the Department of Anaesthesia at a prestigious hospital
- Ensure effective and efficient clinical services through leadership and management
- Coordinate medical staff for safe and effective service delivery
- Oversee departmental clinical governance
- Contribute to teaching, accreditation readiness, incident management, and continuous improvement in patient care and service delivery
- Possess or be eligible for specialist registration (Anaesthesia) with the relevant health regulatory agency
- Possess Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) or equivalent
- Evidence of Continuing Medical Education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position
- Sound clinical knowledge in Anaesthesiology demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position
- High level interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability working within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching and junior medical staff supervision consistent with contemporary best practice supervision standards
