Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our Technology Services team at Searson Buck. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your technical skills in a dynamic environment, supporting users across the organisation.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and customer-focused professional to provide first-level assistance and help implement various information technology and communication systems. As the initial point of contact for user support, you will capture, assess, and prioritize help desk interactions with end users, escalating support requests as necessary.

  • Attend to Help Desk ticket requests in person, via phone, or remotely, providing initial face-to-face, phone, and remote technical support to end users.
  • Diagnose and resolve workstation, system, and software issues, install and configure new hardware, software, and IT services.
  • Assist users in operating the organization's information technology and communication systems, offering advice and first-level software training to users.
  • Perform general administrative duties within the Technology Services team, including other duties as required and subject to skills and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of Microsoft products, experience in Azure operating system, and excellent incident analysis and prioritization skills with the ability to solve problems efficiently.

  • Understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory environments, and VMware, as well as knowledge of TCP/IP networks and networking security.
  • Experience using Help Desk tools and familiarity with networking technologies related to client/server applications, operating systems, software, and hardware.
  • Ability to diagnose software issues and hardware faults effectively, willingness to learn and adapt to new specific software applications and hardware platforms.
  • Previous experience in a similar help desk or IT support environment is highly desirable.
What We Offer

Searson Buck offers a competitive salary package of $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, along with opportunities for career growth and development in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
