We are seeking a highly skilled Comprehensive Family Support Specialist to join our team at Relationships Australia Tasmania.
About the RoleThe Comprehensive Family Support Specialist will provide comprehensive support to individuals and families experiencing separation, including children. This role requires a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approach to assist clients in navigating complex family law matters.
This role involves conducting comprehensive needs and risk assessments to develop tailored support plans for separated families and individuals. The Comprehensive Family Support Specialist will provide essential information and education on post-separation parenting, family relationships, and dispute resolution options. Additionally, they will collaborate with external agencies to facilitate referrals and proactively work towards agreed service targets.
This is a 6 month fixed term contract with possible extension subject to funding. The hours and work pattern are flexible.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive needs and risk assessments to develop tailored support plans for separated families and individuals.
- Provide essential information and education on post-separation parenting, family relationships, and dispute resolution options.
- Collaborate with external agencies to facilitate referrals and proactively work towards agreed service targets.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent tertiary qualification recognized for case management services.
- Demonstrated experience in providing case management and support services.
- Proven ability to deliver culturally sensitive and trauma-informed case management.
- Knowledge of the impacts of family violence, relationship separation, and the Family Law Act.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A competitive salary of $87,017 to $94,867 + Super/pro-rata, plus a possible 5% loading for qualifications and experience.
- Additional PAID leave days (up to 5 per year *pro-rata).
- Up to 4 weeks extra leave per year through our purchased leave scheme.
