We are seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to support the growth of our Allied Health team as we offer Whole of Life solutions to Tasmanians living with disability.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Treatment Planning and Implementation

Our ideal candidate will diagnose and report on communication and swallowing disorders, organise and implement treatment plans for participants, and work with staff and families/caregivers on possible intervention strategies.



Communication Advocacy

The successful candidate will advocate for communication support for participants with communication difficulties.



Mealtime Management

They will provide mealtime management plans and help improve mealtimes for our participants.



Evidence-Based Practices

The ideal candidate will select and utilise appropriate evidence-based practices and service delivery methods, reviewing them regularly to ensure effectiveness.



Requirements:

  • Qualifications and Registration

A professional qualification in Speech Pathology with an active membership of Speech Pathology Australia, or a willingness to attain it, is essential.



Knowledge and Skills

Familiarity with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and participant/family-centred practices is highly desirable.



Driver's Licence and Security Checks

A current driver's licence and national police check (no older than 3 months), along with the ability to obtain a Working with Vulnerable People Card/NDIS Worker Screening Check, are required.
