Salary

The estimated salary for this role is between £31,143 and £32,183 per annum, based on 40 hours per week, plus an additional £6,183 per month for sleep ins. This equates to a total package of £37,326 to £38,366 per year.

Job Description

As a Child Support Specialist, you will be working in our two-bedroom home-based setting in Launceston, providing 24-hour support to children with social and emotional needs related to Autism, ADHD, or Trauma. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the children's safety and well-being, while also supporting them to develop their skills and confidence.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Patient, compassionate, and resilient individuals who can provide emotional support to children with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to maintain relationships with children, families, and other professionals.
  • A driving licence is essential, as you will be required to transport children to various activities and appointments.
  • Flexibility is crucial, as you may be required to work varied shifts, including sleep ins, to ensure the children receive consistent support.
  • While not essential, a qualification in residential childcare is desirable, and we offer training and development opportunities to support your growth in this field.
