About the Role

This position plays a pivotal role in supporting the NSWIS Para Unit, providing administrative and operational assistance to ensure projects meet high standards of compliance with NSWIS policies and procedures.

Reporting to the Head of NSWIS Para Unit, you will work closely with staff members to implement a national approach to identifying and developing future cycle Para athletes, coaches, and performance support staff.

  • This is a full-time position requiring:
    • A tertiary qualification or similar;
    • Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills;
    • Sport Integrity Australia (SIA) Anti-doping fundamentals and Annual Update;
    • Sport Integrity Australia (PBTR) Child Protection and Safeguarding;
    • A current Working with Children Check;
    • A valid Driver's license.

About You

We are seeking an individual who can effectively communicate and report concise and relevant information for reports, briefing documents, memos, and presentations. The ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders is essential.

You will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of projects and meeting deadlines. This requires strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide administrative support to the NSWIS Para Unit;
  2. Assist in the implementation of a national approach to identifying and developing future cycle Para athletes, coaches, and performance support staff;
  3. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  4. Ensure compliance with NSWIS policies and procedures;
  5. Plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

This is an identified position that may be used to create a Talent Pool for similar future roles.
